BJC Technical teams are investigating network connectivity issues affecting two locations, Highland Plaza and Mason Ridge. Voice and data services are impacted. The vendor indicated that the physical repair is complete, but they are still working on full restoration of services. Service to the Highland Plaza and Mason Ridge locations was restored earlier and the BJC technical team continue to monitor the environment until the vendor sends a resolution notification.

The vendor arrived at the location of the damaged fiber and repairs are still in progress. BJC Technical teams have successfully activated Hot Spot devices at several affected locations as a temporary workaround until the vendor restores service. Since business hours are almost over for those locations, we may not have confirmation of service restoration until tomorrow morning.
In addition to the BJC Hot Spots, WUSM ITSS and Network Engineering teams have contingency plans to provide Hot Spots to affected WashU users tomorrow if necessary.
